About Us

Han Bandhu Founder

My journey with yoga began over 10 years ago when I was experiencing lower back pain and anxiety. As my exploration of yoga philosophy, meditation, movement and pranayama continued, I discovered yoga to be so much more than what you see at face value. Grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with myself and improve my discipline to maintain a healthy lifestyle, yoga has been the answer to physical discomforts, emotional wellbeing and finding spiritual connection with self and others. Now it is my ambition to reach others from all walks of life through the wonderful world of yoga.

At the heart of my yoga style is a gentle and nurturing ethos that honours yoga’s vast ancient roots. Students will feel held and heard in my classes as I facilitate a space that allows people to explore the Self. We will participate in strength, flexibility, balance and coordination exercises along with pranayama techniques and meditation. Moving with the energy of the group on the day, I aspire for students to leave my sessions with the recharge they were seeking.

I am a qualified Yoga instructor with Universal Yoga where I have gained an all encompassing perspective on yoga with it’s depth, variety and ancient philosophy. I have also gained my pregnancy and postnatal certification and get to experience the utter joy of joining women on their very unique experiences into motherhood with mum and baby postnatal classes being the icing on top of the cake when little ones join the world! I work in schools delivering yoga to primary aged children and am qualified children’s yoga instructor for 3-12 year olds though Kidz Yoga Worldwide. All courses are accredited by Yoga Alliance.

I am a qualified primary school teacher of over 10 years in both mainstream and specialist settings and have found that yoga is universal, with no limits, transcending all life’s many divisions and bringing people together. It brings me no greater pleasure than to share yoga to all ages!

Mother of two, I enjoys sharing my love of yoga with my children and seeing the positive impact it has on family life.
